    The donuts are made FRESH all day. I'm a doctoral student who moved up here from LA, and there are no donuts like this anywhere I live. I'm usually up LATE studying..I went at midnight, and the owner had trays full of fresh donuts. I asked him which were his most popular, and I ended up with an Ube and Red Velvet Crumble donut and an apple fritter....they did NOT dissapoint. It was love at first bite! Ill def be back for more and will def bring my friends/family her when they visit!

    Truly a miracle of Oakland to find a restaurant open as early as I sometimes get up. If often wake-up around 4am I tend to find myself here for a decent cup of coffee. However, the real star are the donuts, as they are fluffy and never stale or oily. Personal favorite is their donut holes though also have decent reheated croissant breakfast sandwiches when I want something a little hardier. Personally, I wish I could walk inside the store instead of ordering through a tiny service window, but it's Lake Merritt and I willing to bet it is necessary inconvenience.

    Stopped by before a concert in Oakland and got a single mochi donut. This was my first mochi donut and it was very rich! The service was fast and the atmosphere is very much like any other donut shop - nothing too special.

    Phenomenal donuts, service is quick and friendly, ambiance is a typical donut shop. A must try for anyone keen on a traditional donut with an open mind to stray in their traditionalism. The ube donut stole the show and complimentary after the owner saw my cynicism behind trying it. I will certainly be back.
